Mark Schnurman

Mark Schnurman is the President and co-founder of Filament Inc., a business development consulting and communication training firm based in New York. At Filament’s clients, Mark’s primary mission is to help the organization grow or address its primary points of pain that are impeding growth.

Communications strategy lies at the heart of most of the issues that Filament is asked to address. Whether it is putting together a communications plan to open a new market segment, developing a strategy to close a specific opportunity or developing a crisis management communication to address a particular issue, Mark brings executive level communication strategy skills as well as a knack for storytelling to develop messages that stick.

Quirky personal stuff – Mark lives in New York with his wife and daughter. When he is not playing communications consultant or daddy, Mark plays trombone, guitar and sings in a funk band. Over the years he has had the good fortune to perform with Paul McCartney, Lenny Kravitz, James Taylor and Average White Band and appear on numerous programs including The Today Show.
